We will be producing a Murder Mystery:

Murder on Cue

“Maple Lodge is a retirement home for actors where gossip and old rivalries sustain the residents as much as dry sherry and shepherd’s pie. Tensions are raised by an outbreak of anonymous poison-pen letters. When the home is cut off by snow, the rewriting of a will and emerging dark secrets make murder perhaps inevitable…”

Spring Production

Everyone worked very hard to pull off three quite varied one act plays. They needed some dramatic scene changes – see past productions for photos. So well done all, now we start fortnightly play readings to decide on the November production. New members always welcome. Dates for November are Thurs. 21st – Sat 23rd

Spring Production

Charade Drama presents three one-act plays by David Campton, where one or more characters embark on a ‘Flight of Fancy’. We all have our pipe dreams so  let you imagination and thoughts run with us! Thursday to Saturday, 28th to 30th March 2019, 7:30pm at Westbury-on-Trym Methodist Hall, Westbury Hill, BS9 3AA. Large free car park. November production

“Babes in the Wood” went well despite some last minute calamities. The audience seemed to enjoy it – well they laughed anyway!

Now we must concentrate on the Spring production, dates 28th – 30th March, save the dates and we’ll let you know more details soon.

Spring Production

Joking Apart by Alan Ayckbourn was a great success and a sell out Friday evening. Many thanks to all who came, we hope you enjoyed the show.

Our next production will be a Pantomime, November 29th, 30th and December 1st. So save those dates and await more information.

Alan Ayckbourn considered “Joking Apart” to be his favourite play. It is a mixture of comedic and painful moments in true Ayckbourn style. It follows the life of “golden couple” Richard & Anthea, and the effect their happy and successful life has on friends and neighbours over a period of 12 years.

Our November production of 3 one act plays was successful, (please see Past Productions for photos) Just about everyone had a part. Next dates for your diaries is April 19th – 21st. Play yet to be decided, we’ll let you know when we do!

2017 Spring Production Announced

We are pleased to announce that the Spring Production for 2017 is to be a comedy. ‘No Time for Fig Leaves’, by Duncan Greenwood and Robert King, will run from Thursday 30th March to Saturday 1st April, beginning at 7.30 pm in the Westbury on Trym Methodist Church Hall.
